Certified Zone is a product of Certified, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit certified.zone or use our AI Governance Portfolio Builder.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide: Name, email address, preferred language, and industry scenario selection when you purchase the product. Payment information is collected and processed by Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or other payment credentials on our systems.
Information collected automatically: Standard web analytics data including IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time spent on site. This data is collected via server logs and may be processed by third-party analytics services.
Portfolio data: The governance portfolio content you create within your workspace is stored on our platform infrastructure during your 30-day access window and for a reasonable period thereafter to enable delivery of your final documents.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: process your purchase and deliver your workspace access; provide the AI-guided portfolio building experience; generate and deliver your Certificate of Completion, governance portfolio, and Executive Slide Deck; send transactional emails related to your purchase and workspace access; improve the platform and AI agent performance; and comply with legal obligations.
4. Anonymized Data
We may use anonymized and aggregated data from completed portfolios for platform improvement, research, and product development purposes. This data is stripped of all personally identifiable information and cannot be traced back to individual users.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data: Stripe (payment processing, USA); Amazon Web Services (hosting, USA); and our AI platform provider (portfolio building experience). Each service operates under its own privacy policy. Payment installment services (Afterpay, Klarna) are subject to their own privacy policies and terms.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information (name, email) for as long as needed to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Portfolio workspace data is retained for 90 days after your access window expires, after which it may be deleted. Anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.
7. Your Rights
All users: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting support@certified.llc. We will respond within 30 days.
EU/EEA residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing of your personal data. Our lawful basis for processing is contract performance (delivering the product you purchased) and legitimate interest (improving our platform). You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

8. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), access controls, and secure infrastructure hosted on AWS. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
9. Cookies
The certified.zone website uses minimal cookies necessary for site functionality. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Third-party payment and analytics services may set their own cookies subject to their privacy policies.
10. Children
Certified Zone is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact support@certified.llc.
11. International Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers and service providers are located. By using our product, you consent to this transfer. For EU/EEA residents, we rely on standard contractual clauses or other appropriate safeguards for data transfers.
